Welcome to the Abhinaya Dance  Academy (ADA)

Abhinaya  'the art of expression'. The Academy started its journey in 2004,  a decade ago by successfully promoting South Indian  culture through Classical Dance in and around Glasgow (Scotland) .  Since then ADA provides the highest quality of dance instruction to every student, whether they are coming to experience the pure enjoyment and artistry of dynamic movement or to prepare for a professional career in dance.

Students have the opportunity to pursue  a professional career path by accomplishing different grade levels assessed by recognised Europe’s leading Examination board for  traditional South Indian Fine Arts. Over the decade ADA has consistently  proved that our excellent curriculum and teaching methodology has helped our students easily outperform the standards set by the examining body.

At ADA we pride ourselves on offering regular performance opportunities at large events including Celtic Connections 2019 (BEMIS), European championships festival 2018, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games Celebration and Glasgow Mela annually.  We teach our students not only to perform on stage (including Arangetram) and beyond, but more importantly to perform better in life.
